Attend the (virtual) Lyme Public Hearing on the Macintosh Bridge

Participate in Lyme’s next public meeting focusing on replacement of the Macintosh bridge — its design (including road work and guard rails) and construction.

This virtual public meeting will take place on 11 March at 6:00 pm (online)Click here to make arrangements.

Detail:
In 2019 our selectmen hired an engineering firm to take a look at the bridges in Lyme. (The report is available on request.) Two of the seven bridges requiring work will be replaced:

  • the Macintosh bridge (funded in part by the Federal government because it is over 20′ long) and
  • the Birch Mill bridge (funded in part by the State of CT because it is shorter than 20′)

Lyme will hold a public meeting on the Birch Mill bridge soon.
