On Sunday 24 October at 2:00 pm, we present the third and final lecture in the series on Germany from 1919-1946 by Rolf Wolfswinkel, [Ret.] Professor of Modern European History at New York University.
The title of the lecture, ‘Stunde Null’ (Zero Hour), refers to the period after midnight on 8 May 1945, the end of World War II in Europe. While the nightmare seemed to be over, complications arose within Germany and between Germany and the Allies that reverberated long after. Rolf offers a unique perspective based on his expertise in the period including the two World Wars.
The times being what they are, we’re taking a number of COVID precautions:
- Masks are required for your protection and the protection of those around you. We encourage you to be vaccinated.
- We have an air circulation and exhaust system using three mini-splits pulling air into the Hall and box fans in three windows pushing the air out
- We have a carbon dioxide (CO2) monitor to keep an eye on air quality.
- Lastly, seating is limited to allow for social distancing, but that will include some standing room.
